JanIsDeMan has been producing street art at home and abroad for over 25 years. In the past he grabbed a spray can out of rebelliousness, nowadays he mainly want to make the people laugh, pique their imagination, or convey a message. He mastered his trade by painting, carefully how light affects things. He became a specialist in 3D illusions ot trompe-l'oeils ('eyes deceived'). JanIsDeMan like to make large colourful works on large walls but doesn't shy away from smaller, detailed commissions. One of his trademark features is googly eyes which, he uses to play with the surroundings and make people smile. They are often placed on walls he is going to use for something else.
