For me it wasn't particularly important in principle wether the graffiti were painted legally or illegally. Neither when I myself painted or looked at other peoples graffiti. I've always been more into the craftsmanship - what makes for a cool piece and the way it's painted in the given circumstances.

Although over the past 30 years there have been many styles in graffiti, inspired by everything from architecture to LA gangs. To this day I still have a soft spot for the New York 80s graffiti and the way some of the elements looked then. The expert eye will quite certainly be able to spot the techniques and the classic way of joining up the letters in my pieces.
