A few older train writers were frustrated when the iconic 2nd-generation S-trains were finally phased out after 40 years of faithful service. Some theorized that the curving had been done deliberately to foil graffiti painters, although the new design was only about making space for more passengers. Other writers proclaimed that they would never come to paint on these terrible trains. A number of writers asked themself and other 'Can it be true? Are the train graffiti and a whole era dead now?'

It turned out we were wrong, for the scene seems more vital than ever and both older and younger writers are painting for all they're worth. In the milieu we've discussed this, and have come to the conclusion that Copenhagen is the city in the world with longest-living train graffiti scene - from 1984 untill today, non-stop.
