'Dutch Style' became the Copenhagen name for the styles that hit the Copenhagen graffiti scene over the summer of 1986. There were visits from Amsterdam, Paris and London when the writers Shoe, Joker, Bando and Mode2 brought new styles that spread to the whole Copenhagen scene. Suddenly all of Copenhagen was painting with new inspiration from Europe. New York was forgotten for a while.

I remember my enthusiasm... This was so cool. My own efforts in the direction of graffiti, a flash in the pan of my youth, were now replaced by a passion and a striving to become good at painting. I also wanted to be able to paint the new European styles just as well as my idols. Whether the 'Dutch style' provided enough inspiration to save the Copenhagen graffiti scene, I can't judge, but I know that it gave me the inspiration necessary to save mine - now I was ready for the struggle!
